Greetings My Fellow Believers, blessings upon you and family,
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime -- until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you (Isaiah 46:4).
Celebrating Our Elderly
A dramatic rise in population aging is a reality of modern industrialized society. This must be navigated with love. Our church is structured with a Senior Citizens’ Ministry, to care for, provide fellowship, and educate our seniors and elderly members. The Leader of this Ministry in East Jamaica Conference, is Pastor Sheldon Nicolas Schooler.
Pastor Schooler and his team have demonstrated a keen knowledge of the requirements of this ministry, and thus far have organized several programmes to the satisfaction of many of our seniors. Thank you team! Each church must be very selective in choosing a suitable team who will effect a Senior Citizens’ Association that will embrace a culture of care. I pray that all our churches will take the lead in caring for our elderly.
Making Your Will
“The Lord would have His followers dispense their means while they can do it themselves. Some may inquire, “Must we actually dispossess ourselves of everything which we call our own?” We may not be required to do this now, but we must be willing to do so for Christ's sake. We must acknowledge that our possessions are absolutely His, by using of them freely whenever means is needed to advance His cause.”- Ellen White, The Retirement Years, 105.
Make your Will having therein something valuable for the work of God.
Happy Sabbath! Walk humbly with your God. Worship Him with fervor. Appreciation to all our dedicated Pastors today as we celebrate Pastors’ Day. Thumbs up fellow pastors!
